Ford Motor Company began production of it’s, low cost, Fiesta in Nanjing, China on Thursday. Ford is already building the Fiesta in Cologne Germany, and will start production in Valencia, Spain later this month.
Here are two statements in this rawstory.com article that caught my eye; “We are leveraging our global assets and expertise to design and build vehicles that meet the demands and expectations of customers around the world,” Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s group vice president for global manufacturing and labour affairs, said in the statement.
Then further into the article;
Car sales at Changan Ford Mazda, a joint venture between Ford, its affiliate Mazda Motor and China’s Changan Automobile Co, fell 5.9 percent to 204,344 in 2008 as the economic slowdown hit Chinese demand for vehicles.
The American public just got fleeced, yet again, on another bail out scheme, and just who, exactly, was it that got bailed out? Quite obviously; it was the Chinese.
The Ford Motor Company plans to sell these cars; where? Well, back to us; “The Fiesta will go on sale in North America in early 2010 and will be produced at Ford’s Cuautitlan Assembly Plant in Mexico.”
Many good, American, citizens had the idea that the Big 3 auto bail out would secure jobs for American auto workers, and strengthen our nation security. The United States Federal Government, has once again, picked our pockets, and burdened it’s citizens with more debt, to benefit the multi-national corporations, and fat cat, investment banksters.

HI, I remember seeing a report last year that stated China cloned an ENTIRE GM CAR, and is selling it like mad. A whole car has been pirated and re manufactured. So much for free trade.
