Although we have not personally witnessed cancer as a result of these implants, there is the study from Belgium (I think) in which the chip implant was directly attributable to causing cancer in a dog. (The exact info is on the spychips site)

This is horrifying news. Currently, there are a handful of states which have passed legislation making it illegal to implement forced microchipping. However, corporations have always been successful in circumventing such laws. I can certainly understand where people are driven to the point of desperation in accepting these chips because they need to support their families, but it horrifies me that we live in such a time where such choices are necessary.

Also, it occurs to me that this is merely the first step. You will need a chip for employment, you will need a chip for banking transactions, you will need a chip to walk down the street…. where does it end?

For those who dismiss this as silly paranoia, consider this: if the chip can be de-activated, it can also be re-activated, and contain any information which the programmer wishes to put on that chip. Additionally, just as every single computer system has a ready and waiting hacker standing by to play with its structure, what is to prevent these undercover geniuses from hacking into the information on anyone’s microchip?
