Where the hell is that Al Gore? He is never around when you need him. I was promised global warming and  I want it now.

The Buffalo News reported, on 02-05-09, that Buffalo State College held it’s national teach-in on Global Warming Situations on a day when temperatures bottomed out at -6 degrees Fahrenheit. From the article; “No evidence of global warming here, at least not this morning, when unofficial reports to the National Weather Service listed temperatures as low as 9 degrees below zero elsewhere in Erie County.”

It is looking more, and more, as if doubting global warming isn’t a left wing vs. right wing thing after all. Even leftist college professors are becoming outspoken about how moronic it is to believe in man made global warming.

The Boston Herald reported, on 02-14-09;

” SAN FRANCISCO – So-called “global warming” has shrunk from problem to punch line. And now, leftists are laughing, too. It’s hard not to chuckle at the idea of Earth boiling in a carbon cauldron when the news won’t cooperate:

Nearly four inches of snow blanketed the United Arab Emirates’ Jebel Jais region for just the second time in recorded history on Jan. 24. Citizens were speechless. The local dialect has no word for snowfall.”

Lower in the article you find a quote that makes me scratch my head; ““In terms of (global warming’s) capacity to cause the human species harm, I don’t think it makes it into the top 10,” Dr. Robert Giegengack, former chairman of University of Pennsylvania’s Earth and Environmental Sciences Department, told the Pennsylvania Gazette. Giegengack voted for Gore in 2000, and says he likely would again.”

Dr. Giegengack, I like this name, knows that Al Gore is an idiot; but would vote for him again. This is exactly what is wrong with the government in our country. You are suppose to vote the idiots out. It’s like cleaning up the political gene pool in a way.

More cold and snow

Folks from the from the Upper Midwest to the eastern Ohio Valley to northern New England, will wake up to below zero temperatures but at least they will be a bit warmer than what we saw on Friday morning.

And then there is this report from Suburban Life that says tonight’s forecast, in the upper, mid-west,  calls for a low around 5 degrees, wind speeds of 10 to 15 MPH, and a 60% chance of more snow.

The article also  gives the following details about Chicago Lands record snowfalls for this winter.

“A new record was set Wednesday when Chicago had its ninth consecutive day of measurable snowfall, according to the National Weather Service.
The previous record was eight consecutive days set from  Dec. 13 to 20, 1973.
Snowfall records in Chicago date back to 1884.”

Back in the early fall I was looking forward to winter, but now, I wish it would go away. My skin is dry, itchy, and chapped, and I am tired of washing thermal underwear.

I demand my global warming, I want it now!

I took this picture on my last trip to central Illinois. I had driven the night before in freezing rain. The timbers stacked on the front of the trailer are heavy, solid oak, 4 X 4′s. They were frozen into a solid block of ice, all 9 of them, it was fun getting them apart.

The ground where I parked was a solid sheet of ice. I dropped the trailer in that spot that you see. When I tried to pull out from under it, the trailer followed the tractor. Now that is slippery. I don’t know how I got backed in to began with.

I’m hoping for an early spring to make up for the early winter. I do feel that I have been cheated out of the global warming that Al Gore promised me. Has anyone seen Al lately? Where is he…?
