The Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot.

Should ever be forgot.”

In the early hours of November 5th, 1605, Guy “Guido” Fawkes, a veteran of the Eighty Years War, having fought on the side of the Spanish Monarch, was found guarding a cache of gunpowder in the lower chambers of The House of Lords.

Fawkes was arrested, tortured, and convicted of treason. He was sentenced to death, and scheduled for execution, the following January. The method of execution was to be Hanged Drawn and Quartered. Fawkes cheated the hangman by leaping from the scaffold and breaking his neck.

Thereafter, November the 5th was observed, as Guy Fawkes Day, in remembrance of The Gunpowder Treason.

Few actually understand the context in which Fawkes, and his fellows, acted. Not the people that use Fawkes, as a symbol of terrorist treason, or the people that use him as a symbol of rebellion.

Those that use his imagine as a symbol of rebellion often rebel against the things that he represented.

Those that use him as a symbol of terrorism are often propagandists for imperialism, and maintaining the, status quo, establishment.

Without wasting much time, I’ll offer this video clip from Glenn Beck’s television program. Beck, an apostate Catholic, and cult member, uses Fawkes as a symbol of terrorism, and implies that anyone rebelling against the immoral establishment are terrorists.

Of course, you can look around the internet, and find all the many ways that Fawkes’ image is used. Most popularly in the Movie, V for Vendetta.

Most everyone has it all wrong and do not understand the proper context of the Gunpowder Rebellion. The reason is that the predominate culture in the Untied States, and Great Briton, is Protestant.

Protestant culture continues to edit the horrors of the Protestant Reformation, in England, out of it’s history books. It was the murderous tyranny of the English Reformers that Fawkes rebelled against.

Only a couple of years ago, I was given a Watch Tower magazine, by a Jehovah’s Witness. The main article was about the Reformation in England. The author did a pretty good job of describing events leading up to the English Reformation. How the whore mongering, and adulterous, [my words] Henry VIII couldn’t keep it in his pants, and needed a divorce.

The Watch Tower article jumped from King Henry VIII wanting a divorce to ‘Bloody’ Mary, Queen of Scots. The author edited out those who died refusing to sign the loyalty oath, to the king, declaring him head of the Church, in England. No mention of how Catholics were hunted down, and tortured to death, under Henry VIII, or later, under his bastard daughter, Elizabeth I. No mention of the tyrannical actions of James I, commissioner of the King James Bible.

After reading The Watch Tower article, I deposited it in an appropriate receptacle, for literary trash, the nearest garbage can.

Now, I don’t mean to pick on The Watch Tower, or Jehovah’s Witnesses, as the problematic system of lying, and covering up, is what keeps Protestantism, at large, in business.

The proper context for the actions of Guy Fawkes is that of man trying to liberate a people from murderous Religious oppression. Namely the oppression of Catholics from Protestant Reformers.

The bloody persecution began in 1534, under the adulterer, Henry VII, and continued on until the 18th century. No real relief came about until the Catholic Emancipation Act of 1829.

Presently, in England, there are still laws preventing the Monarchy from marrying a Catholic. There are no laws preventing the Monarchs from marrying outside of Christianity completely. There are no laws preventing them from marrying a member of Judaism, or even Islam.

Remember Guy Fawkes in your own way. Shoot off fire works and remember a traitor. Put on a silly mask for the sake of mindless rebellion.

But I will think of a man who tried to liberate a people from religious persecution.

I point to people who have not profited from their mission. Two that come to mind, at this moment are Veronica Luken, and John Leary. They, and others, have given a message of repentance.

The idea is that man has turned to evil deeds, and needs to repent, or face certain judgment.  That judgment would come in the form of a comet, or some large space rock, that would hit the earth.

Leary’s messages said that the government knows of a large object that will hit the earth. That scientists would send up probes to study comets. That they would even land probes on the comets, and try to blow them up.  Leary’s messages also said that the government would keep it all a secret until the end because they wouldn’t be able to hide it at the end. He said, that in the end, governments would try to blow up the comet, but the angels would deflect the rocket, because it is God’s judgment on the earth.

Well, all of that has happened, except for that last part. Please take a look at this.

I have heard rumor, and I can’t prove it here, that a NASA project, from the early 80’s, discovered a large object, that would hit the earth. That is the reason that the US government got busy building underground bunkers, in the 90’s.

There are some interesting facts that you can research for yourself. The Chinese military said, openly, that their nuclear missile program is not negotiable, because they might need them to blow up a large space rock. The Chinese have also been building cities inland that are not populated, yet.

It is written, in Sacred Scripture, that in the end days, people will not stand sound doctrine. And so, that is the case.

There is no rapture.

The temple does not have to be rebuilt in Jerusalem.

There is no literal millennial reign of Christ.

These are Protestant inventions concocted by the poorly educated.

For the New Agers, and secularists;

There is no Nibiru.

There is no planet X.

All of the above, are Satanic deceptions.

My hope is that people will gain control of their minds. It is already too late to avoid the calamity. You can still repent, and save yourself, and your family.

It is the story of Lott, God sent the angels to remove Lott, and his family, from Sodom and Gomorrah.

Every, baptized, Christian soul, has a guardian angel. You call on your angel, and when the time comes, the angel will lead you to the safe refuges, that God has prepared.

If you want to remain secular, and take your chances, you will need to be away from the coastlines, at a higher elevation, in a cave. You will need to be able to breath for 3 days. You will also need to withstand the temptations of the demons, loosed from Hell.

Heaven will claim what belongs to Heaven. Hell will claim what belongs to it.

Dream I

I could see the City of Seattle in ruins. I didn’t know if the disaster was natural, or man made, the result of war.  Buildings were toppled over, and were smoldering.

A voice, that I took to be an angel, gave me a message, that I was to deliver to someone living in the area. I was to tell, a certain woman, to travel toward St. Louis, but to stop on the plains. The message was to carry extra gasoline, and water.

I was then sown a map of the United States. The voice gave instructions on how to find the place, by drawing lines diagonally, form corner to corner, on the map. The lines intersected in lower Nebraska.

Being a literal minded person, I argued with the voice. Thinking that the point was to find the geographical center of the U. S., I said, “Shouldn’t those lines intersect over Kansas, or Missouri?”

I was told that where the lines intersected was the place. At that point, I was wide awake, and could not return to sleep.

I had never given any thought as to what the geographical center of the U. S. should be, but it turned out, not to be the point.

Fully awake, and agitated, I got out a road atlas, and a ruler. I drew the lines, as shown, and they intersected over North Platte Nebraska. I also noted that anyone traveling, from Seattle, to St. Louis, via the Interstate Highways, would have to travel through North Platte.

It was only after doing this, that I was able to return to sleep. The dream bothered me, for nearly two years, until I passed it along to a certain women, who looked like the one in the dream, and happened to live near Seattle.

Dream II

In this dream I dream I was on the plains and could see the the, snow covered, Rocky Mountains in the background. I was standing in a prison camp.

The camp was made up of Quonset huts. The huts weren’t the corrugated tin huts that I lived in, when in, the military. They were pre-fab buildings that could be moved, and set up, from place, to place.

A military truck pulled up to a row of Quonset huts. A small, slightly built figure, in a military uniform got out, and knocked on the door of one Quonset.

I only saw the military men from the back, and could never see their faces. So I wondered about the slight build of the soldier, thinking it might be a woman. A few days after the dream, I realized it was a Chinese Army Officer’s uniform, and that the officer might be a small, Asian man.

A group of women, and children, came out of the hut. All of the women were young mothers, and none of the children were older than their mid-teens. They were dressed in winter clothing.

A machine gun came out from, the back of. the truck. The gunner began firing immediately. I could see the muzzle flash,  the ejecting shells, and felt the percussion. The look, on the faces, of the victims, was shock, and surprise.

Dream III

In the suburbs, of a large city, I saw police carry out a summary execution. After executing a man the police offered his possessions for sell.The sense that I got from it was that the executed man was a dangerous person.

Society was in chaos, so much so, that there was no time for arrest, and trials. Perhaps, there wasn’t any courts, or jails.

The police sold the belongs of the executed to support themselves. There wasn’t any real government, or any funding from one.

Dream IV

In an inner city, possibly a housing project, I saw people eating the neighborhood pets. The food had ran out, and the people had already eaten the squirrels, and rats.

The city was seemed empty, there were no cars, or trucks, on the streets.

I could only see someone skinning a cat outside of an apartment building.

I had other such dreams. Bits, and snippets, were a companion, and I, hidden alongside a mountain road, and the upper torso, of a friend, dragged away by cannibals.

A locution

I have had a few locutions, sounds not heard with the ears. Three were the sounds of the Heavenly Choirs praising the Almighty.

One happened while driving across the South East. The chem-trail spraying was heavy over the cities.  I was clearly evident, that the spraying was for the cities. Between Birmingham, and Atlanta, the skies were clear blue.

At the end of praying, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, I complained to God about the chem-trails, and how they were harmful to the people. I decried the madness of the One World evil doers.

A voice, not my own, answered, from the back of my head. The voice said, “Fear not, man will bring about his own ruin, and destruction. You conduct yourself as a Christian.”

As we enter the final days, of this age, I do not fear. I know that God will watch over his own.

 Pope urges lifestyle changes to save environment 

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – Pope Benedict used his traditional New Year address on Friday to call on people to change their lifestyles to save the planet, saying environmental responsibility was essential for global peace.

Recalling that world leaders had gathered in Copenhagen last month for the U.N. climate conference, the pope said action at a personal and community level was just as important to safeguard the environment.

"Nevertheless, in this moment, I would like to underline the importance of the choices of individuals, families and local administrations in preserving the environment," the Pope told the thousands of faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square.

"An objective shared by all, an indispensable condition for peace, is that of overseeing the earth’s natural resources with justice and wisdom."

The pope, who had a scare last week when a woman with a history of mental problems knocked him down during Christmas Eve mass, also said "ecological responsibility" should be taught as part of the education syllabus.

The pope and his predecessor John Paul have put the Vatican firmly on an environmentalist footing. Last month, in a message sent to heads of state and international organizations, the pope called on rich nations to acknowledge responsibility for the environmental crisis and shed consumerism.

Is that really what the Pope said?

Well, not exactly. The Holy Father hasn’t called on us to change our life styles just to save the enviroment. The Holy See hasn’t “put the Vatican on an environmentalist footing.” In fact, he warns of neo-paganism, and the pantheism, of the environmentalists.

Benedict XVI, in his New Years message, reminds us of the responsibilities of our stewardship over the earth.

Pope Benedict XVI also advocates on behalf of the peoples of developing countries and the poor. He also reminds us, that in our efforts to protect the environment, we need to respect human life, and the dignity of human person.

The way of the secular environmentalists, and secular humanists, is death, and the destruction of mankind, in the name of saving the earth.

The Holy Father calls for the sharing of clean technologies while the secular humanists call for the withholding of new technologies.

Nattering Nabobs of Negativity

Here it is, the night before Christmas, and I have had it, once again, with the Nattering Nabobs of Negativity. Each year, at Christmas, the Nattering Nabobs start to pontificate.

The Nabobs, usually, don’t like the Pontiff, but are sure to become self appointed pontiffs. They don’t like Christmas and look for ways to ruin it for everyone else.  Their dogmatic view should be accepted by the rest of us, and we Traditionalists, are just fools to ridicule.

The meaning of the word opinion, and the English phrase, gratuitous assertion have never connected with the Nabobs. The meaning of the words assume, and presume have escaped them as well.

The Nabobs presume that people of faith are ignorant. The Nabobs presume that our faith is based on mere opinion. The Nabobs presume that their silly, uniformed opinion, bears the same weight as historical fact. Historical facts seem to be something they are short on.

So, let’s look at some facts.

Imaginings of the Nabobs

The Nabobs wild imagining’s get the best of them. Instead of doing some scholarly work, they just presume to know, and presume that their own imaginings bear the weight of reason, and real work.

Without getting into all of them, I’ll point to my favorite Nabob imagining. Which is that Christ could not have been born in December based on the actions of the Shepherd’s.

Many of the Nabobs assert that the Shepherd’s could only be tending flocks in the spring. They also assert that December is too cold for Shepherd’s to work. They assert that the Shepherd’s wouldn’t possibly leave their flocks even if angels appeared to them.

Now, I don’t know about you, but if my family business was sheep, I would be tending to my sheep, like any other business, year round. If I were out tending my sheep, and angels appeared to me, I would be finding out what it was all about. Being as my sheep herd might be a family business, or even the business of a whole clan, I wouldn’t have much trouble finding replacement Shepherds.

I will admit that I haven’t put any effort into checking the Shepherd’s Union Bylaws for any insight into this. There could be stipulation in the Shepherd’s Union Contract about this; but I’m not wasting time looking for it.

I think the Nabobs are all washed up on this one.

The year of our Lord’s birth.

St. Mathew tells us that Christ was born during the reign of Herod. Herod reigned from 37 B.C. to 4 B.C. It can be known from history that Herod died in the year 4 B.C.. There are events mentioned in the Gospels, such as, the building of the second temple, which also marks a place in time.

We do not need to rely solely on Sacred Scripture for information from that era. Secular historians, like Flavius Josephus, recorded events from that era. Even 70 years later, we have the writings of General Titus, who made a report to Rome, on the destruction of Jerusalem, another fixed pint in time.

You see, the Roman government kept records, like any other. After the last of the persecutions, Church Fathers were able to examine these records. Among the records, were the tax mentioned in the Gospels. St. Joseph, had to travel to Bethlehem to register and pay his taxes.

The tax, paid by St. Joseph, was collected in December. I have heard the Nabobs, silly radio preachers mostly, claim that the tax was collected in the spring. They don’t offer and reasoned proof, just an opinion.

Here in the modern world, our taxes are assessed from January 1st, to December 31st. Why would it be all that different in the first century?

Why would the Roman government collected taxes in the spring, when no one had yet produced anything to tax, in the first place?

Nabobs, you are all wet on this one too.

Proofs, from scripture, that Jesus was born in December

Before going on, let’s state a fact, that all can agree on. The normal gestation period, for a human being, is nine months. If you are one of those people that claim an alternative reality, and want to question this, you do not belong here. Oh, they are out there.

We are told, from Scripture, that St. Zachary had a visit, from an angel, while in the Holy of Holy’s. This was a duty the high priest performed once a year in the month of Tishrei. Tishrei corresponds, roughly, with our month of September. St. John Baptist was born shortly after.

We are told that the Blessed Virgin was three months pregnant, with our Lord, when she went to visit St. Elizabeth. And we are told that St. Elizabeth was six months pregnant with St. John Baptist.

September is the month that the birth of St. John Baptist is observed and December the birth of the Lord.

The Day of the Holy Birth

Most likely at the end of December. December 25th falls within that time frame and it is good enough for me. The Early Church Fathers examined the documents, at hand, both secular, and Church documents, and deduced that it was December 25th.

Pagan Sun Gods

The Nabobs assert that because a pagan sun god was worshipped on the 25th of December, that the worship of Christ, on that day is pagan. It doesn’t matter to me, and here is why.

The Nabobs are really saying that the pagan sun god is greater than Christ. If Christ can’t be worshipped on that day, that would make the pagan god greater.

News flash for you Nabobs; My God is the creator, and author, of every day, they are all his days. If I can’t worship on some day, because some pagan, somewhere, worshipped their false deity, on that day, I couldn’t worship at all. There is no doubt, in my mind, that on any given day, of any month, there was, some time, in history, a pagan feast.

Sun God Worship

The Nabobs assert that the worship of the Son of God is sun god worship. The Nabobs say it is because the English word sun, sounds like the English word son.

I have two Latin words for you Nabobs; Filius Dei, which means, Son of God. The Latin word for sun is sol. Sol does not sound like filius, which was used before English was invented.

This morning , in disgust, I deleted one of my subscriptions on You Tube. I have been promoting a You Tuber by the name of “Doc.” Now Doc is is pretty good at researching all about the New World Order crowd, but like most, in the “Truth Movement,” stops short of good research, when they try to lump Catholics into their conspiracy theories. Doc, a college student, and a good researcher, hasn’t learned the phrase gratuitous assertion. When it comes to a bit of juicy anti-catholic slander; who needs facts, or evidence?

The gratuitous assertion today was that the Pope is sitting in at the United Nations. Long way from the Vatican to New York. Instead of getting into all that, I’ll get into what is behind that, and go straight to the most popular ant-catholic lie; the fake Jesuit Conspiracies.

The Jesuit order

The proper name of the Jesuit Order is the Society of Jesus. The Society of Jesus was founded 1534, in Paris, by St. Ignatius of Loyola. St. Ignatius originally founded to order as The Company of Jesus.  The order became popularly none has Jesuits as a criticism for using the name of the Lord too much. Over time, the Society of Jesus, adopted the name Jesuit, as a kind of back handed compliment.

Today, the Jesuits, have about 19,000 members, internationally. The order is divided into 91 provinces, each with a provincial superior. The provinces are grouped into 10 assistancies, headed by and assistant to the Father General in Rome.

On Jan. 19,2008, Fr. Adolfo Nicolas, was elected Father General of the Society of Jesus.

Because I intend to address the issue later on; here are the vows taken by members of the Society of Jesus.

I, (name), make my profession, and I promise to Almighty God, in the presence of his Virgin Mother, the whole heavenly court, and all those here present and to you , Reverend Father (Provincial, Rector, etc.) representing the Superior General of the Society of Jesus and his successors and holding the place of God, perpetual poverty, chastity and obedience; and, in conformity with it, special care for the instruction of children, according to the manner of living contained in the apostolic letters of the Society of Jesus and its Constitutions.

I further promise a special obedience to the Sovereign Pontiff in regard to the missions according to the same apostolic letters and Constitutions.

The main source of the current wave of Anti-Catholic bigotry and fake Jesuit conspiracies.

The main source of ant-catholic lies comes from Jack T. Chick’s religious tracts. Chick Tracts are passed around by poorly educated, and unlearned, evangelical protestants.

In the early 80’s, many Christian, bookstores stopped selling his tracts, and he withdrew from the Christian Bookseller’s Association, after they considered expelling him for being a bigot.

Chick is something of shady character that lives in seclusion. He hasn’t given a professional interview since 1975 and there are no known photographs of him.

The source of Jack Chicks information, about the Catholic Church, was Alberto Rivera. Rivera, who arrest warrants,  in Spain, for “swindles and cheats,” in New Jersey, and Florida for bad checks, and fraud.

Rivera, the character ‘Alberto,’ in the Chick Tracts, claimed to have been a Jesuit priest, who had to escape the Jesuit Order. Rivera claimed that his mission, as a Jesuit priest, was to infiltrate, and destroy protestant churches. He also claimed to have rescued his sister, who was near death, from a convent.

There are no records that Rivera had ever been in a seminary, or was ever a priest. Records show that Rivera only had one sister, who lived in London, and was never a nun. One of Rivera’s, most insane claims is that the Jesuit Order founded the religion of Islam. Never mind that Islam was founded in the 7th century, and the Jesuit Order in the 16th century. People actually call in to talk shows and post this on internet forums.

Rivera claimed to have three doctorate degrees, a requirement for Jesuit priests, which he later had to admit, came from a Colorado diploma mill.

These two charlatans, Chick, and Rivera, are the two main reasons, that modern protestants, run around looking for Jesuit boogey men, under their beds.

Lunatic Conspiracy Nut in Action

A group, known as We Are Change, is a group of activists, often known as “Truthers.” Most of the time they do a pretty good job “confronting” political figures on issues. They, typically, come from the political left, but are even handed, in my view, of asking the tough questions of politicians, the the Mainstream Media fails to do.

Unfortunately, because she didn’t do her homework, this woman, from We Are Change L.A., has put egg on her face. I hope you take the time to watch this on You Tube and read the information in the side bar. These lunatics actually believe that the Fr. General, of the society of Jesus, is “the most powerful man on earth.”

We Are Change LA Confronts the Black Pope

Now, Fr. Nicolas, answered truthfully about, the nick name, the Black Pope. It is not a real title, it is a familiar term, not to be taken seriously. Does Fr. Nicolas hang out at the Vatican? Could be, but so do the heads of other religious orders, like the Dominicans, the Franciscans, and so on. I would like to point out that Church detractors often criticize the church for being a hierarchy,  and Fr. Nicolas isn’t even a Bishop.

Usually,at this point, and I get tired of it, some, unlearned Protestant, will tell me, in their arrogance, how ignorant I am.

“The High Oath of the Jesuit Order”

This women, asserts, in the video side bar, that the Vatican, has been denying the existence of this blood oath for decades. Two words; duh, huh. I wrote, the vows, for the Jesuit Order, back up at the top, you may want to refer back to them for a moment.

What the activist, in the video, is reading from, is actually in the Congressional record; US House Congressional Record, 1913, page 3216. It is a blood oath that has also been attributed to the Knights of Columbus by anti-catholic bigots. I will post a link so that you can read both of the blood oaths. Parts of these same oaths have also been attributed to Jews, by anti-Semites.

Had any of these “Truthers” done their homework, they would find, in the Congressional Record, the retraction of the fake blood oaths, because they are a fraud. See House Report 62-1523 of 1913, reprinted in the Congressional Record for Feb. 15, 1913, at, pp, 3215-3220. You can look it up in any law library.

The problem is; how did these fake oaths get into the Congressional Record?

Easy enough, a campaign staffer, attached it to some other documents that were put into the Congressional Record. It was during a heated contest for a congressional seat, in a Pennsylvania district. The contestants were a Republican Quaker, and a Democrat Catholic.

Twice today, and many times before, I have asked this question on internet forums; Is it ever a sin, in Protestantism, to slander, and bear false witness?

I have yet to receive a single answer.

As of late I have had the misfortune of running into Seventh Day Adventists.  I can be having a perfectly good conversation with one until they find out that I am Catholic. Once they find out my faith; any good conversation we were having, on a range of topics, is out the window.

I can’t help but to believe that the Seventh Day Adventists are a cult and it’s members under some kind of mind control. I say this because they can’t seem to stop themselves once they have gone on the attack. The real funny part is that these folks are often having something less than Christian conversations up to that point.

One Seventh Day Adventist actually followed me across the parking lot hurling insults. When we parted,he yelled over his shoulder, all the way to his truck, “There is only one God.” We had been friends only minutes before.  I have left these conversations completely dumbfounded at how someone perfectly friendly one moment can become so hostile the next.

There are several pseudo Christian sects, that I have came into contact with, that makes the claim that Jesus Christ isn’t God. The very puzzling part is that they claim to be the “True Christians”, and to be “Bible believing.” They also insist on the King James Version of the scriptures, which they can hardly understand.

I say then, lets see what the Bible has to say on the matter. You can start with the Old Testament prophecies of Christ.

Therefore the Lord will give you this sign, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel. Is. 7:14

Immanuel literally means; With us is God.  Let’s look at another verse of scripture from Isaiah.

For a child is born to us, a son is given us; upon his shoulder dominion rests. They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace. Is. 9:5

Now, many of the pseudo Christian sects also make the claim that they never have to believe the Old Testament, except when it suits them to do so, of course.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be, What came to be through him was life and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. Jn 1:1-5

The Incarnation, that God took flesh, has always been a teaching of Christianity. The pseudo Christian sects love to quote St. Paul, out of context usually. But St Paul confirms what St John tells us when he says;

For in him dwells the whole fullness of the deity bodily, and you share in this fullness in him, who is the head of every principality and power. Col 2:9

Jesus even says of himself;

The Father [that is God] and I are one. Jn 10:30

I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Rev. 22:13

Now, was Jesus, and the Apostles, simply confused as to who Jesus is?

Well no, the Jewish leaders, in that day, understood exactly what was being said. That is why they wanted him crucified; for blasphemy.

The Jews answered him, “We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy. You, a man, are making yourself God.” Jn. 10:33

For this reason the Jews tried all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath but he also called God his own father, making himself equal to God. Jn. 5-17

Jesus said to them. “Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM.” So they picked up stones to throw at him; but Jesus hid and went out of the temple area. Jn. 8:58-59

I would like to note here that I AM is the name Moses was given from the burning bush.

Jesus worked miracles, and did things that only God can do. He healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water, and forgave sins.

I often hear the pseudo Christians charge “Jesus never said to worship me.” Funny then, that he accepted worship without correcting the worshipper. If St. Thomas was committing blasphemy, by calling our Lord God, then Jesus should have corrected him.

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe.” Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Jn. 20:27-28

St. Paul calls our Lord, Jesus, God;

…as we await the blessed hope, the appearance of the glory of the great God and of our savior Jesus Christ. Ti. 2:13

St. Paul also tells us;

Therefore I tell you that nobody speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be accursed.”  And no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.” 1Cor. 12:3

St. Paul isn’t merely bestowing a royal title on Jesus. In the ancient world the word Lord was put in the place of God’s name, to avoid misusing the name of God. What St. Paul is saying is that Jesus is God. I remember during the Hippie Jesus movement that people would greet one another with “Jesus is Lord,” without really knowing what they were saying.

I will stand with St. John, when he says;

Who is the liar? Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Whoever denies the Father and the Son, this is the antichrist. No one who denies the Son has the Father, But whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.       1 Jn. 2:22-23

I invite you, "The True Christians,” and you the “Bible Believing” Christians to believe your Bibles. Stop using them for a cudgel to beat others over the head with.

The release of the Holy Father’s latest encyclical, ‘Ceritas Veritate’, ‘Love in Truth,’ has set the internet “Truthers” into a frenzy; Charging Pope Benedict with “Calling for World Government.”

Two organizations, that I have always had respect for, Infowars.com, and the John Birch Society, have both published hit pieces on ‘Love in Truth.’ In both cases the authors, of the hit pieces, have used, carefully selected, sentences, from the encyclical, out of the context in which they were written.

A piece from Reuters, by Philip Pullella, portraits the Pope’s message as blaming the free market for the global financial ills.

 

Pope Benedict on Tuesday called for a “world political authority” to manage the global economy and for more government regulation of national economies to pull the world out of the current crisis and avoid a repeat.

The pope’s call for a re-think of the way the world economy is run came in new encyclical which touched on a number of social issues but whose main connecting thread was how the current crisis has affected both rich and poor nations.

Called “Charity in Truth,” parts of the encyclical appeared bound to upset conservatives because of its underlying rejection of unbridled capitalism and unregulated market forces, which he said had led to “thoroughly destructive” abuse of the system.

At JBS.org, a staff writer, for The New American, didn’t do much better;

Pope Benedict XVI called for a “true world political authority” to manage the economy in his new encyclical on social justice. The encyclical, entitled “Charity in Truth,” was released by the Vatican on Tuesday and signed by the pope a day earlier. Benedict’s encyclical specifically called for “regulation of the financial sector,” and a “worldwide redistribution of energy resources.” Benedict added that “the State’s role seems destined to grow” if his political prescription is followed.
“There is urgent need of a true world political authority,” Benedict wrote in the 30,000-word encyclical, calling for “reform of the United Nations Organization, and likewise of economic institutions and international finance, so that the concept of the family of nations can acquire real teeth.”

Benedict described what a powerful world government with teeth would look like: “Such an authority would need to be universally recognized and to be vested with the effective power to ensure security for all.” He added: “Obviously it would have to have the authority to ensure compliance with its decisions from all parties” — that is, nations.

I am deeply disappointed with both organizations. Alex Jones, of infowars.com, prides himself on the research that he puts into his documentary films. I have several of his films and just received three of his newest ones. Likewise with the John Birch Society. JBS books and films are the best one can get anywhere.

It seems these groups can do a good job of research except when there is opportunity to slander, and calumniate against Catholics. Judging from the content, of the encyclical,  published by Reuters, the author must have read it. Infowars simply posted the article, and no doubt,didn’t check the accuracy of it. Alex Jones has a large following of bigots and he has to feed the herd from time to time. If he doesn’t throw them a juicy bit of Catholic slander they get upset and accuse him of being a Pope lover and Papist.

The John Birch article is equally puzzling. It as well is a hit piece against the Pope; taking small parts of Caritas in Veritate out of context as well.

Caritas in Veritate is a pastoral letter addressing the problem of Globalism. In Benedict XVI outlines how the central banking establishment, without naming them, has raided many third world countires and left them impoverished. It is, in fact, the very thing that is happening to our own country.

Before becoming Pope, Cardinal Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) was using the phrase New World Order, to describe the establishment elite, before Alex Jones ever got out of the gate.

In a preface to the book “The Gospel: Confronting World Disorder”, written in 1997, he writes;

On the one hand, there have been systems of Marxist orientation that promised the attainment of the desired reign of man by way of their ideologically-driven politics; an attempt that obviously failed. On the other hand, efforts to build the future have been made by attempts that draw more or less profoundly from the source of liberal traditions. Under the title New World Order, these efforts take on a configuration; they increasingly relate to the UN and its international conferences, especially those of Cairo and Beijing that transparently reveal a philosophy of the new man and of the new world, as they endeavor to map out the ways of reaching them.

Such a philosophy is no longer utopian, in the sense of a Marxist dream. On the contrary, it is very realistic: it determines the limits of the well-being sought from limited means for attaining it. This philosophy recommends, for example, without seeking to justify itself, not worrying about taking care of those who are no longer productive nor have any hope of a quality life. Furthermore, it no longer expects that people, used to riches and well being, be ready to make requisite sacrifices, on the contrary, it recommends ways of reducing the number of participants at humanity’s table, so that at least the so called happiness, already acquired by some, will not be touched. The typical character of this new anthropology, which is at the basis of the New World Order, is revealed above all in the image of woman, in the ideology of “Women’s empowerment,” proposed at Beijing. The goal is the self-realization of women for whom the principle obstacles are the family and maternity. Thus woman must be liberated above all from what characterizes her and very simply makes for her specificity: this must disappear before “Gender, fairness and equality,” before an indistinct and uniform human being, in whose life sexuality had no other meaning than as a voluptuous drug that can be used in any manner conceivable.

Pope Benedict, has for years, stood against the U.N. and World Government, along with the evils that go with it.

Let’s see what he really said in caritas in Veritate.

In our own day, the State finds itself having to address the limitations to its sovereignty imposed by the new context of international trade and finance, which is characterized by increasing mobility both of financial capital and means of production, material and immaterial. This new context has altered the political power of States…

…Consequently, the market has prompted new forms of competition between States as they seek to attract foreign businesses to set up production centres, by means of a variety of instruments, including favourable fiscal regimes and deregulation of the labour market. These processes have led to a downsizing of social security systems as the price to be paid for seeking greater competitive advantage in the global market, with consequent grave danger for the rights of workers, for fundamental human rights and for the solidarity associated with the traditional forms of the social State…

The Pope, never once in this encyclical, blames capitalism, or free markets for the current financial plight of the world. No where does he ever suggest the end of the sovereign state. He clearly describes the plight caused by the Globalist. What he suggests would put the Globalist in check. Ooooh, how evil of him.

I defy any sane person to read Caritas in Veritate and find any of the unfounded, hysterical, lies that have been told by Anti-Catholic bigots.

Taken literally, it would be silly to think that God, the Creator of all that exists, would need to rest, or take a break. After all, if God were to take a powder on us, we, and everything else, would cease to exist. The reason scripture tells us that God rested on the seventh day is to give us an example to follow. Also, in the ancient world, the number seven is a symbolic number representing, a sign of completion, and perfection.

The Third Commandment tells us; “Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.” This is part of the law given to Moses on Mount Sinai. A Sabbath, or Lord’s, Day follows, quite logically, from the natural law.

It is by right, that everyone set aside one day, of the seven, to give adoration, and pay homage to their creator. It was through God’s goodness that he gave us life and it is right to give him thanks.

It would also be a bit of silly reasoning to think that only the Sabbath Day belongs to God. No, God is the creator, and author, of every day; they are all his days. It is a matter of justice, to offer back to God, one of the seven days.

I, personally, do not believe that God is asking too much of us in asking for one day back. There are 168 hours in a week; if we give God 24 hours, that leaves 144 hours for everything else. Observing the Sabbath gives a natural rhythm to our lives and sanctifies the week ahead.

So, where does Sunday observance come in?

This began in Apostolic times. The early Apostles, and disciples, of Christ, were in Synagogue on Saturday, by our calendar, and met again on “The Lord’s Day,”   Sunday, by our calendar, in remembrance of Christ’s resurrection, “The Lord’s Day.” As the split between Christian, and Jew widened, the early church began to leave the Synagogues, and meet on Sundays.

Sundays were seen, by the early church, as the first day of the new creation, or eighth day; as they were made doubly holy, by the resurrection of Christ, who is God come in the flesh. The resurrection, of Jesus Christ, was the completion of his work, of salvation, and fulfillment of the Mosaic law, on earth.

If we follow the logic of the Gospel of St. John that “The word was made flesh and dwelt among us,” then Christ is God, in the flesh, and the author of the law.

Jesus clarified the Sabbath Law when he said “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.” The creation of man comes before the creation of the Sabbath in the order of creation.

It is clear, from scripture, that Jesus gave his authority to the apostles. He told them that “Whoever hears you, hears me,” and “What so ever you bind on earth is bound in Heaven.” He also told them that “Whoever rejects you, rejects me.”

The word Sabbath comes from the Hebrew word for seven. In the Hebrew calendar the days are simply one through seven.  If I work Monday through Saturday, and observe Sunday, I am, as a Christian, fulfilling my Sabbath obligation. If I were Jewish; I would be at Synagogue, or Temple, on Saturday.

Holy Mother Church recognizes, the fact, that every day belongs to God and offers daily worship. It is Sundays that are extra special and given pride of place.

It is the eternal Sabbath that we should look forward to. As St. Paul tells us; “How great will be that felicity, where there will be no evil, where no good will be withheld, where there will be leisure for the the praises of God, who will be all in all.
