If I were to ask you, this minute, to think of warfare, what would you think of?

Airplanes, soldiers, ships, and tanks…

If I were to ask you to think of un-conventional warfare, specifically chemical, and biological agents, you might think of nerve gas, or some virus, delivered by means of a missile, or sprayed from an airplane.

If you are living in the United States of America, and I asked you to imagine yourself under attack, you probably couldn’t do it. But you are under attack by means of un-conventional warfare.

The elitist, global establishment, want a drastic decline in world population. Abortion, contraception, and genocidal wars, have not been working fast enough for them.

The establishment crowd took control of all the Fortune 500 companies by the end of the 1960’s. The same people that controls all of the media also controls all of the food that you eat.

Which is why you aren’t likely to hear the full story on corporate media. Don’t think that PBS is above it all either. Look at who their corporate sponsors are, Monsanto, ADM, Cargill…

Soy products are pushed onto women to promote bone health. Nearly all soy products are produced with GMO soy products. A study from Russia shows that the effects of soy maybe generational.

• Researchers took five pairs of hamsters from each of the above groups. Each group produced about seven to eight litters of baby hamsters each.
• The first generation seemed to have no fertility or offspring problems at all but the real trouble started when researchers selected new breeding pairs from the offspring.
• The second generation had a slower growth rate and reached their sexual maturity later than normal but did eventually generate another 39 litters of hamster pups – in total; the no-soy control group had 52 pups; the non-GM soy had 78 pups; the GM soy group had only 40 pups, of which 25% died. In total, second-generation GM soy-fed hamsters had a five-fold higher infant mortality rate, than the hamsters who ate no soy.
• The worst was yet to come though because nearly all of the third generation GM soy eating hamsters were sterile – they had lost the ability to have babies altogether.
• Sterility is bad enough, but it wasn’t the only problem for third generation hamsters eating GM soy. The GM soy-fed groups also experienced an unusually high prevalence of an otherwise extremely rare phenomenon – hair growing inside the animals’ mouths. The effects of soy are effeminizing, and I, a middle aged man, who values his testosterone, avoids it.

I tried to have a conversation with a man, about GMO foods, a couple of years ago. He said he wasn’t worried about it because it depended on how much of it you eat.

About 90% of all corn is GMO. It is in most of the foods that you eat, and is used as sweetener. Read package labels on foods and drinks.

So, if it matters how much of it you eat, what if it is in all the food that you eat?

My 78 year old father, with a 9th grade education, can see the problem of; If the corn is poison to insects, wouldn’t it be poison to humans?

GMO created foods may be used as a biological weapon

The oldest vessel, in the US Navy, second in age to the USS Constitution, is being deployed to the the Persian Gulf.

The Enterprise was ordered in November, of 1957, and commissioned in November, of 1961.

Leon Pannetta made the deployment announcement from onboard The Enterprise yesterday. Despite the $15 Trillion deficit, growing opposition to the Globalist wars, and the toll taken on US troops, the US Government has taken the decision to escalate tensions in the Middle East instead of using diplomacy.

This action should set off alarm bells for anyone well versed in US history. I’m thinking Pearl Harbor here.

The Enterprise has reached the end of it’s service life and is scheduled for decommission in 2013. Enterprise is the last of it’s class of vessel, which was replaced with the Nimitz Class.

Enterprise was refitted, in 2010, at a cost of $662 million, 46% over budget.  The original cost of the vessel was $451.3 million. Given the age of the ship, it is a financial liability. Which means that it could be the best candidate to be sacrificed for the purpose of starting a war with Iran. The United States has a history of using such tactics all throughout the 20th century.

Remember the Maine?

The sinking of the USS Maine, in Havana Harbor, was the event used, by propagandists, to go to war with Spain. As a result of the war, the US, gained territories around the globe, giving the basis of a US Super Power. The Maine sunk in Havana Harbor and was later towed out to sea.

Divers visiting the Maine’s resting place have concluded that it blew from the inside out.

Pearl Harbor

The Japanese Imperial Navy was aloud to attack the US Fleet, at Pearl Harbor, on Dec. 7, 1941. The United States government, current, official story, is that it was to protect the fact that US had cracked the Japanese Navy’s code.

Old WWI era ships were moved from San Diego, CA, to Pearl Harbor. The modern naval vessels were moved out of harm’s way.

The Gulf of Tonkin

The United State claimed a second attack, by North Vietnamese torpedo boats, in August, of 1964. The result was the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, passed by Congress, that gave Lyndon B. Johnson the authority to intervene in any South East Asian country of his choosing.

The Gulf of Tonkin incident has been admitted as staged by, the likes of, Robert McNamara. Whose attitude was, Hey, that’s just how we do things.

Not all of the False Flag operations have succeeded. The case of the USS Liberty is one that is kept swept under the rug.

The USS Liberty was attacked, by Israeli forces, June 8, 1967.

Besides needing an excuse to go to war, sacrificing a small force, to gain a greater strategic, or tactical goal, is a commonly used military tactic.

In Vietnam, helicopters were often flown low, over the tree tops, to draw enemy fire. It is what happened to US troops, in the A Shua Valley, Vietnam, in 1968.

Sacrificing a smaller force, to gain a larger objective, is a tactic used all throughout US military history; Remember the Alamo?

It has been used throughout all of recorded history; Remember the Spartans?

Some twenty years ago, I tried to have a sensible conversation with a WWII Navy vet, about the evidence concerning the Pearl Harbor attack. The man had just turned 70 years, and was in excellent condition for his age. He drew his fist back and was ready to punch me.

I couldn’t have gotten a worse reaction from him had I spit on his mother’s grave.

Belief in a WWII propaganda story was more important than facing reality. Rather than be angry at a government that needlessly sacrificed his comrades, he chose to be angry at the person willing to face the truth. Which is a reaction common to brainwash victims, and cult members, by the way.

The Anglo-American Empire/Israeli alliance has been making every possible effort to provoke Iran into a war. Sailing an aircraft carrier into the middle of an Iranian naval exercise, assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists, and flying spy drones over Iran.

Based on current actions, and past history, it might be safe to expect that they will do, what is for many, the unthinkable.

It is my observation that most people don’t have a plan for prioritizing in a crisis situation. Like most anything else, ask ten people what they might do, in some bad situation, and you might get ten differing answers.

The first season of the reality television show, Survivor, comes to mind. I only mention the first season because I quit watching when Rudy Boesch was given the boot. The show wasn’t about surviving at all. It was about dysfunctional people, their dysfunctional relationships, and the melodrama that resulted.

To make this a learning exercise, imagine yourself in a survival situation for a moment. Your car ran over a cliff, your boat has capsized, your airplane crashed in the wilderness, or you have just survived an earthquake. With impending economic collapse looming, just over the horizon, you might consider what you might face if you have to flee your home.

The Rules of Three

You might not last three minutes without air. This might sound like a real duh huh moment here, but the first thing that you must do is breath. Free yourself from any confining space, and don’t enter any. Especially if you have just survived an earthquake.

You might not last three hours without shelter. This one might very a bit, but in extreme climates you need to find shelter.  In extreme heat, or extreme cold, if not properly protected, you can die in a hurry. Remember that clothing counts as shelter.

You might not last three days without water. In extreme heat, with some added shock from trauma, you might not last three days without water. In extreme cold, never eat snow, melt the snow, it will lower your body temperature.

You might not last three weeks without food. I know that you can find statistics that say you can last longer. In a survival situation, because of increased physical activity, and stress, you might not last so long.

Of course, this doesn’t help to fill in a lot of blanks for you, but it is a simple outline for planning.

In my plans for camping, or a bug out bag, I follow the philosophy of the Plains Indians; they had a Rule of Three’s as well. That is, have, or know, three ways for starting a fire, or for collecting water, etc.

There is no substitute for learning a little bush craft and some 19th century know how.

I spent this Thanksgiving week in Laredo Texas. Black Friday came around and I felt a need to escape the motel room confines.

The motel was interesting enough, all in itself,  it had a large indoor garden full of tropical plants. The second floor balcony had places to sit, and take it in, as well as foot paths through the indoor jungle.

But it was time for a walk so I went out and walked around the shopping malls. Nearby was the usual Big Box stores, Wal- Mart, Home Depot, and a Guitar Center. I just missed out on the Black Friday specials at Guitar Center, bummer, they were closing. I could have used the Martin guitar string special. Oh, well, maybe next time.

I landed at the McDonald’s in Wally World, sipping on a large black coffee. The Ronald McDonald coffee was a good relief as many vendors, in the area, use Maxwell House instant coffee machines. Many of them don’t quite have the instant coffee to hot water ratio right.

But while sipping my coffee, I learned that many of the shoppers had came across the boarder from Mexico. I thought it was kind of interesting that Mexicans would cross the boarder to buy Chinese made goods at Wally World.

The place was crowded, and the lines were long, so I went back to the motel, and returned later, for cigarettes.

When I returned the Wally World workers were organizing, dozens, of full shopping carts, that people had abandoned.

I thought it was odd that folks would fill up shopping carts and just leave them. Maybe they couldn’t handle the long lines anymore than I could. I didn’t bother asking about it, just thought it was curious.

Now, I do have to say that the Black Friday crowd, in Laredo, was much more well behaved than shoppers elsewhere. This time of year, if I absolutely have to, I go to Wally World after midnight. People’s IQs seem to drop a few points this time of year, and don’t pay attention to small things, like driving. Just traveling anywhere near a shopping mall is dangerous ass all hell.

I really don’t think that I am better than everyone else, or don’t think that I’m any smarter, but I have never taken to being a herd animal. All day long, I have been reflecting on an old meditation. It was one of those odd moments of enlightenment that I received in a steel mill, of all places.

It was sometime, in the mid 90’s, I was held up in the SMI mill, in Birmingham, Alabama. Back then, and before those jobs went overseas, I was in, and out, of all the great Eastern still mills. It many long hours of waiting to load, or un-load, and an all-nighter of driving to make delivery.

But, one night, I was sitting in a long line trucks. I was sitting along the the train tracks that fed rail cars, of scrap meta,l into the furnaces. I could see where the cars entered the factory, and see the glow, and sparks, of the furnaces, deep inside the building. The strange shapes, of the rail cars, silhouetted, in the reddish glow, of the furnaces.

I watched the rail cars, in the switch yard, and began to ponder the scrap metal in them; some of the rail cars had crushed cars in them. The cars were crushed into cubes, all of them the same size, but each was a different kind of car.

I began to ponder the cars, and the longer that I looked at them, I realized that I could recognize what kinds of cars, that some of them were.

I began to see Ford’s, Chevy’s, Toyota’s, and even a BMW, or Mercedes Benz, here and there. There were little tell tell signs that would give them away, a hood ornament, a hub cap, or some recognizable body part.

I thought of how some of the cars were the humble, commuter cars, of the working classes, and some were the status symbols, of the wealthy. Some of the cars were cheap, the means of workers meeting their daily necessities. Other cars had been the over priced, and over engineered, means of making a statement about one’s place in society, and an means of stroking an inflated ego. One car, someone’s classic automobile, one car a necessity to meeting daily needs, one a big ticket, luxury item.

But, no matter why someone owned the car, or what it meant to them, in the end, they all fetched the same price as scrap. When a car is hauled across the scales, at a scrap yard, it fetches the same price, per pound, as any other car. It doesn’t matter what the make, or the year, or how much it cost when new. It doesn’t matter what importance someone had projected on it.

Which made me wonder, just what, on earth, do people really knock themselves out for, what are they thinking, really?

So, I ponder the people of last night. Many filled shopping carts, with clothing, electronics, toys, this and that, and stood in long lines for it. Some had crossed an international boarder, looking for plentiful goods, made half the way, from around the world. In the end, as many, gave up, abandoned their shopping carts, and left.

I often pity the masses of people. They annoy me chasing after things that I wouldn’t walk across the street for. They chase after public events, things schemed up by others, to separate them from their money, and rob them of their proper leisure time.

I understand enjoyment, and leisure time, but I don’t understand those that decide it for others. I feel empathy for the masses, because of their endless pursuit, to give their lives meaning, and to fill an emptiness.

I suppose, that in the end, it is a matter of what one fills the emptiness with.

It is a horror to me that they fill their emptiness with useless, and meaningless, shit.

Sometime, before next summer, what was important today, will be long forgot.

“A giant has been awakened,” said Plumas County, Calif. Sheriff Greg Hagwood, “and they didn’t count on that,” speaking of the federal bureaucracy.

With exposure of the Emergency Management Center in San Luis Obispo a few decades ago, California began to offer the rest of the nation some evidence of the psychological conditioning aimed from the federal level at state, county and city law enforcement.

The tendency, of the electorate, is to fight against Washington D. C. directly. There is a  system in Washington, set in place, to keep it in the business of keeping itself in business.  But that can all change, by working from the ground up, and electing local political officials that will uphold their oath of office.

The Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot.

Should ever be forgot.”

In the early hours of November 5th, 1605, Guy “Guido” Fawkes, a veteran of the Eighty Years War, having fought on the side of the Spanish Monarch, was found guarding a cache of gunpowder in the lower chambers of The House of Lords.

Fawkes was arrested, tortured, and convicted of treason. He was sentenced to death, and scheduled for execution, the following January. The method of execution was to be Hanged Drawn and Quartered. Fawkes cheated the hangman by leaping from the scaffold and breaking his neck.

Thereafter, November the 5th was observed, as Guy Fawkes Day, in remembrance of The Gunpowder Treason.

Few actually understand the context in which Fawkes, and his fellows, acted. Not the people that use Fawkes, as a symbol of terrorist treason, or the people that use him as a symbol of rebellion.

Those that use his imagine as a symbol of rebellion often rebel against the things that he represented.

Those that use him as a symbol of terrorism are often propagandists for imperialism, and maintaining the, status quo, establishment.

Without wasting much time, I’ll offer this video clip from Glenn Beck’s television program. Beck, an apostate Catholic, and cult member, uses Fawkes as a symbol of terrorism, and implies that anyone rebelling against the immoral establishment are terrorists.

Of course, you can look around the internet, and find all the many ways that Fawkes’ image is used. Most popularly in the Movie, V for Vendetta.

Most everyone has it all wrong and do not understand the proper context of the Gunpowder Rebellion. The reason is that the predominate culture in the Untied States, and Great Briton, is Protestant.

Protestant culture continues to edit the horrors of the Protestant Reformation, in England, out of it’s history books. It was the murderous tyranny of the English Reformers that Fawkes rebelled against.

Only a couple of years ago, I was given a Watch Tower magazine, by a Jehovah’s Witness. The main article was about the Reformation in England. The author did a pretty good job of describing events leading up to the English Reformation. How the whore mongering, and adulterous, [my words] Henry VIII couldn’t keep it in his pants, and needed a divorce.

The Watch Tower article jumped from King Henry VIII wanting a divorce to ‘Bloody’ Mary, Queen of Scots. The author edited out those who died refusing to sign the loyalty oath, to the king, declaring him head of the Church, in England. No mention of how Catholics were hunted down, and tortured to death, under Henry VIII, or later, under his bastard daughter, Elizabeth I. No mention of the tyrannical actions of James I, commissioner of the King James Bible.

After reading The Watch Tower article, I deposited it in an appropriate receptacle, for literary trash, the nearest garbage can.

Now, I don’t mean to pick on The Watch Tower, or Jehovah’s Witnesses, as the problematic system of lying, and covering up, is what keeps Protestantism, at large, in business.

The proper context for the actions of Guy Fawkes is that of man trying to liberate a people from murderous Religious oppression. Namely the oppression of Catholics from Protestant Reformers.

The bloody persecution began in 1534, under the adulterer, Henry VII, and continued on until the 18th century. No real relief came about until the Catholic Emancipation Act of 1829.

Presently, in England, there are still laws preventing the Monarchy from marrying a Catholic. There are no laws preventing the Monarchs from marrying outside of Christianity completely. There are no laws preventing them from marrying a member of Judaism, or even Islam.

Remember Guy Fawkes in your own way. Shoot off fire works and remember a traitor. Put on a silly mask for the sake of mindless rebellion.

But I will think of a man who tried to liberate a people from religious persecution.

I attended my first wrestling event as an infant. Of course, I don’t remember much about it, being such a young age, but the folks talked about it for years.

It was in the town of Robertsdale Alabama, a brawl broke out, and a local policeman, caught up in the excitement, hit one of the brawlers with his pistol. Now, wrestling (pronounced wrastlin’) was taken very seriously among the folks, along with tent revival meetings. Tent revival meetings, and pro-wrestling, were both great forms of side show entertainment.

The first wrestling event that I have some recollection of was at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham. A popular wrestler, of the day, Lee Fields was knocked out of the ring, and landed in my mother’s lap. Mom gave Mr. Fields a pat on the back, and a word of encouragement, to get back in the ring, and get those bad guy wrestlers.

Mom swore that she would never wash the hand that patted Mr. Fields on the back. Fortunately, it was an oath that she didn’t keep. Looking back, with some relief, as Mom was the person most responsible for food preparation.

We later moved to southern California and watched wrestling on TV. Wrestling was in Los Angeles, about thirty five miles away, but the idea of driving on the freeways made it seem light years away. Mom, and Pop, never got used to driving on the freeways; a trip to visit relatives, near Long Beach, would mean a full day of getting lost, just to get there. However, Los Angeles, with about, nine channels of television, as opposed to the three channels back home, offered another great redneck sport, Roller Derby.

Wrestling, back in the day was, pretty much, cut and dry. It was the bad guys vs. the good guys. The good guys would wrestle clean, and the bad guys would wrestle dirty.

The good guy wrestlers would win, against the bad guy wrestlers, using athletic ability, and always follow the rules of the game. The bad guys would often resort to dirty tricks, just out of sight of the referee, with the audience shouting frantically to draw the referee’s attention to the dirty tricks.

I can recall Freddie Blassie, when he was still wrestling, reaching into his wrestling trunks for an imaginary foreign object, that he would hit the good guy wrestler with. Never mind that you never saw the object and there wasn’t space in his trunks to hide it in. Of course, the crowds yelling to the referee, who never saw it.

To keep pro-wrestling interesting, the script writers began to let bad guy wrestlers, like Freddie Blassie, be a good guy for awhile. Somehow, through a turn of events,  other bad guys would turn one their fellows, and the the fans would be sympathetic for him.

Sometime, into the 1980’s, the lines of good guys vs. bad guys, became blurred. Today, I can’t tell the good guys, from the bad guys. Both, the good guys, and the bad guys, use the same dirty tricks.

During the days of classic wrestling, only a bad guy would whack his opponent, with a conveniently placed, folding chair. Now, everyone does it, as the means now justifies the end.

Which is where we are at in society, and brings me around to my point.

Pro-wrestling is often used as an analogy for politics. A common analogy, which I have used before it be came popular, is that the wrestlers show up in the same limousines, use the same locker rooms, and after the big show, all hang out together. The same is true for politicians.

I would go farther and say that the political script writers of often cast the good guy, and bad guy politicians in opposing roles, the same as the pro-wrestling writers.

When the over reaching of policies, of Washington DC, go too far in one direction, the fans begin to shout at the referee’s (the mainstream media) who never quite see the dirty tricks.

When the fans become outraged, the good guy politicians, and the bad guy politicians, are quickly recast in their roles. The good guys, or bad guys, jump to the other political party, and the fans hardly notice. The fans keep cheering for the wrestlers… err.. politicians, that they are programmed for.

On television, "Hacksaw” Jim Dugan, representing American working class values, was the deadly enemy of the Iron Sheik, representing America’s enemy de jour. In the ring, the crowds would chant USA, USA, for Jim Dugan, as he went after the Iron Sheik with his 2 X 4.  In real life, Dugan, and the Iron Sheik, were arrested together for DUI, and cocaine possession. In reality world they were the best of friends.

How about the world of politics?

On television, some cocaine was smuggled into Mena AR, depending on your political view, either the Clinton’s, or the Bush’s, were responsible for it. In reality world, the Bush crime family, and the Clinton crime family, were equally involved.

On television, a madman, hiding in a cave, in Afghanistan, ordered planes to be flown into buildings. ‘Hacksaw’ George W. Bush chased after the Arab terrorists, while the fans chanted USA, USA… In reality world, it was an operation carried out by the Mossad.

On television Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi are former Speakers, of the House of Representatives, fighting on opposite sides. In reality world, Newty is as much for forced corporate health care as Nanny.

Newty, and Nanny, both work for the same banking masters. That is why Newty, and Nanny, both sat on the love seat and promoted global warmiing, in a TV ad, to get you to pay carbon taxes to the bankers.

Now, where do you think this will all lead?

I first learned of dragons when my uncle sent me on a mission to a land of morning calm. I would peer through the twisted steel and razors at an ancient and ornate temple that sat above the rice paddies and the happy mountains of the dead.

As my curiosity grew I would venture out past the wire, in the middle of the night, at risk of being caught, or even killed. Stumbling, drunkenly, through the happy mountains, and staring in awe at the stars above.

The dragons of that land were different from the ones I knew at home. They traveled by floating on the clouds, unlike the familiar dragons that had wings and flew. A native saw my fascination with the dragons and told me about them. He told me the folklore of dreaming of the dragon.

In that land, of far away, if one dreamt of a dragon, floating on the clouds, and the dragon stayed aloft, it was a sign of good luck. If one dreamed of the dragon, and it fell to the ground, it was an evil portent of bad luck.

I didn’t know then that I had been chasing the dragon all along and it was the reason that I was there.

My uncle returned me to the world and I worked for him in the great rain forest of the north. When my work finish there, I moved to the big valley of St. Joakim, to the south.

I continued my pursuit of the dragon in the great valley. There, I often amused, and amazed, my friends with tales of the dragon. The valley was a place of pleasure, toil, and pain, and soon, my pursuit out grew it. A day came when it was time to leave the valley of St. Joakim and return to my native land.

I drove south to the farthest end of the great valley and rested. I rested for the night, not out of need, but to be sure of myself.

The following day I drove my truck into the rising sun and didn’t look back. Crossing mountains, and deserts, the next days sun rose in a panhandle on the plains.

Without stopping, and driving through the night, the next days sun found me in a land of Blues, and Voodoo.

I met there a beautiful woman with black hair, and dark eyes. She told me of a man that was Voodooed, and how she met the Legend of Lizard Man.

I told her of the happy dragons as I had entertained others in the past. She threw back her head laughing, and said, “Oh, you and your dragons.”

But, how did she know of my dragons? Perhaps, she was a friend of theirs.

I met many there, in the land of Here We Rest, that were chasing their own dragons. They were consumed with chasing the phantom dragons and there was no living with them. So, I went into exile in the Mountains of Shelby, a place where I could be everywhere, and nowhere, all at once.

While in the Mountains of Shelby, I began to wrestle with that unseen, and travel on the spirit plain. With the loud sound of rushing wind, and a loud clap, I was on the spirit plain.

On one travel, I found myself in a chromatic world, older than time. I walked toward a large pool. The sides of the pool were ornamental, like the fountains in Europa, but without the spout of water, and statues, in the center.

Walking up to the side, I looked in at the still waters. The surface of the pool was calm, and still, but underneath were large serpents. They just moved under the surface, and looked like a nest of snakes.

It was the dragons.

Looking past my reflection on the surface, the serpents moved in dark, cold, and lifeless, waters. My reflection looked back, while the dragons writhe below. Staring into the pool, I realized that the dragons had always been with me, and that they had multiplied over time.

Calmly, without emotion, I decided that the dragons must die, and that I would kill them then. I pickup a large bag of blessed salt, about 50 lbs, and began to pour it into the pool.

The salt was to purify the waters, and to return them to life. As the salt entered the pool, the serpents dove deeper, trying to escape. Most of them died immediately, sinking to the bottom, others struggled, and fought back.

The most dangerous of the dragons fought beyond that night. They fought until I was bathed in the fount, of life giving waters, that flow from the center of, that certain, Most Sacred Heart. When the night terrors ceased, and the faces of the ghost, from long ago, and far away, were gone away.

During the heat of this last summer, while visiting the Garden of Stone, just below The Step, a beloved friend, from the Valley of St. Joakim, asked about my dragons, and if I still knew them. I just smiled, and didn’t really reply one way, or the other.

I don’t speak of the dragons anymore. I often see them, looking back, from behind the eyes of the walking dead. They live in the shadows, and shun the world of the light.

As the cold, and darkness, encloses the world, their reign will be brief, and in their death throws, they will cause havoc.

The light will return and the serpent of darkness defeated.

Driving the un-crowded Interstate  through the desert often gives more time to reflect on interior things.

It also gives me a chance to play a little road game that I made up. Most folks kill the highway boredom by playing Out of state license plates, or Counting the Cows, but I make up songs from the words on road signs. The rules for the game are simple, I just take words, and sentences, from billboards,  and highway signs, and arrange them to some beat running through my head.

Of course, if you ever heard any of the songs you would think they are crazy, and they are. But it is a cool exercise for coming up with song lyrics. After my brain kicks in I come up with other lines, and I write them down in my note book.

After some hours of that I began to reflect on some of my favorite songs in my folk music collection. One of them was Mississippi John Hurt’s 1920’s arrangement of Stagger Lee.

Now, in the song, that cruel Stagger Lee, shot poor ol’ Billy De Lyons, over a $5.00 Stetson hat. Which caused me to think about Stetson hats, and how much they have cost over the years.

Currently, a quality, Stetson will set you back, around, $400.00. Now, that is a big leap from bad ol’ Stagger Lee’s, 1920’s, Stetson hat.

But is it?

In terms of value, and the cost of a Stetson hat, if bought with gold, no it isn’t.

In the 1920’s, one ounce of gold, was $20.00. A $5.00 Stetson would cost you, about, one quarter, of an ounce, of gold.

Here, in the year 2011, an ounce of gold, is, around, $1,600.00. So, a $400.00 Stetson still costs a quarter, of an ounce, of gold.

You see, the value of a Stetson, and the value of gold, did not change. What changed is the worthless Federal Reserve Notes that we purchase things with. From that time, to this, US currency has been slowly debased by the Federal Reserve.

Something else to consider, from the period, wages. In the 1930’s a man might work a job for $1.00 per hour.

Sounds bad doesn’t it?

Think again.

In the 1930’s a job, paying $1.00 per hour, allowed a man to raise a family, own a home, a car, and pay most of the necessities of life.

How so?

In the 1930’s one U. S. Dollar was represented by one once of silver. At the time of this writing, the current price of silver is $31.23. That is low, in relation to gold, as the sliver market is being manipulated. Trust me.

So, here in the modern era, if we were to maintain the same standard of living, as people in the 1930’s, we would need to make, around, $40.00 per hour.

Last month marked the 40th anniversary of Richard Nixon removing our currency from any precious metal standard, ending the Bretton Woods Agreement.

He said, in his televised speech, it was to protect us from international money speculators.

And I will just leave it there.
